Is there any way to edit the handouts for our specific clinical needs? For instance, the case review handout has an outline of labs to order before seeing the patient in person which physicians are not able to do.

Chris Kresser:  That’s not actually true. We order labs all the time for patients whom we haven’t seen yet, and we’ve vetted that with a medical attorney with 35 years of experience in California. That’s how our case review model works.

In terms of the question of how to edit handouts, there’s no way to edit them. The PDF generator, the whole premise behind that, is to give people a way of quickly generating beautifully designed, professional-looking handouts with their logo and branding on them. If you want to make changes and create your own handouts, what you could do is just copy and paste the text into a document or send it to, change the text, and then send it to a designer. There’s no way within using software platform or anything that actually would allow everybody to make changes and then still generate the PDF with their own branding because that’s a technological invitation.
