Dr. Amy Nett: Which is high because remember, we want to see a homocysteine that’s 7 or below and when we see an elevated homocysteine, start thinking about whether or not methylation could be impaired and functional B12 or folate deficiency or other activated B vitamin deficiencies that might be impairing methylation and then homocysteine can also just be an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
