  4. I wonder if we can get handouts for child versions of all the treatment protocols.I think the only child protocol we’ve received is the antimicrobial one. I’m after the yeast one right now. But I would like to feel confident being able to help people of all ages with everything. Having been helped immensely by taking Kavinace, I wondered if it could help a child.

Dr. Amy Nett:  We don’t have child versions and I think you’re talking about like the HPA axis treatment. Yeah, I don’t, you know, a lot of, I haven’t done HPA axis treatment in children and we don’t have set protocols for pediatric dosing. The only ones we have at CCFM are a pediatric methylation protocol, but again we’re not doing methylation in this ADAPT course, and we have the dysbiosis protocol. So the one you’re asking about is the yeast one. You would still use, I mean the protocol we gave you should address yeast. If you want to use A-FNG, you could just use pediatric dosing for that. Pediatric dosing depends on both the age of the child and also the weight. I am not sure about using Kavinace in a child. I’m not sure it’s something I would personally be comfortable doing.

So yeah, and I don’t know that a lot of these supplements have been researched in children. So I would have a little more hesitation in terms of being aggressive with the supplements. But yeah, we unfortunately don’t have pediatric protocols about patients to all of these. It takes a lot of research to figure out pediatric dosing for a lot of these supplements because it’s not readily available, and even for the pediatric methylation support protocol, it takes quite a bit of digging to figure out what might be safe. And again it’s kind of weight and age-based. So yeah, maybe it’s something that eventually we’ll get to. I think right now this year, Chris is just pumping out all the content to get everything at least for adult treatment, and it may be that there are some pediatricians who are in this group who are able to help maybe on the Facebook group with some suggestions.
