Have you ever seen any other practitioners run boron as a marker for thyroid health?

Dr. Amy Nett:  No, I haven’t. I’ll dig into that a little bit more this weekend and see if I find anything, but I haven’t found boron useful as a marker for thyroid health. Great question. I don’t know, but let us know, too, if you find out more information on that one.

Then Brent is following up. “I had a patient come in from her end that showed zero in boron and wanted to increase it.” Oh, so she came to you and said someone ran a test for boron and it was low. No, I have not seen that. It’s often interesting when you get patients who come to you with these tests and want you to fix them and you’re like, “I don’t know why anyone would ever run that!” I don’t know what to tell you for that one. I’ll dig into it a little bit more and see if I can come up with anything.
