How are you distinguishing to do potato hack versus protein-sparing modified fast?

Chris Kresser: Which is another more aggressive weight loss strategy that I’ve talked about elsewhere and also in this course. Sometimes it comes down to the patient and their preference. Sometimes I will tend to try protein-sparing modified fast first in many cases. The compliance is higher. It’s not easy either because it’s basically a low-carb and low-fat diet, they’re just eating a lot of protein and non-starchy vegetables. But in some cases that sounds more appealing to patients than only eating potatoes. So I will often offer a couple different options and see what the patient wants to do and let them choose.
