Dr. Amy Nett: Boswellia dosing depends a little bit on the condition, and a lot of the studies that I’ve seen using boswellia are looking at something like 300 or 350 mg three times daily dosing. The studies that I have been looking at have been more for active autoimmune disease, whether it’s Crohn’s disease or active asthma issues. I was reading a study on that, so 300 mg three times daily. But it depends again a little bit on the context and you might just want to go based on the dosing recommendations for the specific supplement that you’re using, since some preparations might vary.
Similarly for curcumin, we’ve talked a lot about curcumin, which supplements, there’s NovaSOL, the BCM-95, liposomal curcumin, Meriva, all different preparations so the dosing is going to vary a little bit. So I would say when in doubt, follow the guidelines on the bottle, maybe talk to the company if you have more specific questions. But it varies a little bit because there are different preparations of curcumin.
