Now that you don’t sell your own HCl-pepsin, do you have a good brand you recommend? Are you going to bring another one out?

Chris Kresser:  One of the reasons we created that in the first place was that most of the commercial brands of HCl are 600 milligrams per capsule, and for some patients, we just found that that’s too high. Unfortunately now that the Paleologix products are not available anymore, I’ve had a harder time finding an HCl that is only HCl, but is available in that dose. The NOW Super Enzymes product has 200 milligrams of HCl in it, but it also has enzymes and ox bile, which could actually be beneficial, depending on the patient and the particular situation that you’re using it in. So if you want 200 milligrams of HCl with enzymes and ox bile, then NOW Super Enzymes is a good product. If you want just 200 milligrams of HCl, I’m not sure how to get that or if it exists, and I don’t currently have a plan to produce another one at this point.
