Dr. Amy Nett: Great question. I don’t know why children under nine are an exception and I don’t know if it’s because, I don’t know. I can come up with an answer. What I would make up would be that potentially kids are just eating a lot, but if they’re on a Standard American Diet, they may not be getting the nutrient density. So it’s a great question. I don’t know why those children were an exception, and I don’t remember if that study expounded on that. But that might be the place to check is go take a look at the study and see if they clarified that. But good question.
