  4. I’d like to ask what test you suggest for a 55-year-old man who had thrombosis with pulmonary consequences last month. We’re cleaning his diet. He has a lifestyle that is very balanced besides his job. He is a captain at Emirates Airlines. He is in treatment for six months and not flying but wants to go back to his passion. His doctor put him on an anticoagulant Xarelto and that was all he did. So wondering where to start the investigation.

Dr. Amy Nett:  Oh, that’s a great question. I really haven’t actually come across any patients who have pulmonary embolus that I’ve been dealing with. So if he’s working with a conventional medicine doc already, I would certainly ask what sort of coagulation workup he’s had at this point. And I would definitely try to get your hands on that workup. Otherwise I don’t know of anything specific. I would probably do our general approach just to see is there anything we can do in terms of decreasing inflammation and bringing his body into better balance. But no, unfortunately, I really don’t have anything specific for pulmonary embolus. Wish I did.
