I think in the course Chris recommends Pure Encapsulations Boswellia AKBA, is that correct? Someone posted about a study on poor absorption and recommended a phytosome version. What’s your experience with boswellia and its effectiveness?

Dr. Amy Nett:  So there are a couple different preparations of boswellia, and I think there’s definitely, as with a number of different supplements, there are certainly some questions about what the best-absorbed form is. I actually most often use boswellia in a product from Natura that’s called InflamAway because most often when I’m using boswellia, it’s generally for inflammation, maybe pain as well. And InflamAway contains some boswellia, curcumin, and several other herbs that help address the inflammatory pathways like the cyclooxygenase pathway. And that seems to be tolerated pretty well.

So I think Chris has used the Pure Encapsulations Boswellia, and in terms of people’s response to it, I think it just varies. So you kind of have to give probably, if one type doesn’t work, try another one and see if that one works differently. See if the person responds a little bit differently.
