How would you go about raising these levels if all other markers and symptoms are in good shape?

Dr. Amy Nett: So, again, my question is kind of what are you treating? Again, this is I don’t know what an optimal EGFR for a solitary kidney is. I would track. What have the labs been trending? Is this stable, or is it a decline? Because I think it’s only if there is a decline that you would be concerned. You might start tracking creatinine and cystatin C if they haven’t been measured before, because, again, I don’t know that 78 is particularly worrisome for a solitary kidney. Maybe consult with a nephrologist if you know any nephrologists. Just ask if they have an optimal range. Of course, a functional nephrologist would probably be ideal. I don’t actually know any functional nephrologists. I would say track creatinine and cystatin C because I don’t know that you actually need to do anything, especially if a urinalysis, blood pressure, and all other markers are completely normal.
