Dr. Amy Nett: Okay. So this one might be a little bit more detailed than we really want to get into here in terms of hormonal coverage. I think there can be reasons to give estrogen and I think that there are some new studies coming out showing that estrogen may be beneficial in terms of bone health and cognitive health. So I do actually sometimes think it’s reasonable to give estrogen to help with symptoms and support overall health, again, including cognitive health. So I might actually consider estrogen depending on the overall clinical context.
In terms of the specific supplements, Evergreen Balance Heat in botanical combination, that could work well. So you might want to try that, and that’s probably where I would start. So the Evergreen Balance Heat and consider giving estrogen and you might want to look into a little bit more for your own comfort. I think, I’m not a hundred percent certain, but I think some of Dale Bredesen’s research in Alzheimer’s has suggested that there may even be some benefit to estrogens. And I think, also, I’ve seen some research recently that supplemental estrogens in postmenopausal women may also help with bone strength, so something else to consider. There is still a lot we don’t know about supplemental hormones and I definitely get the caution around them. I think that’s why I have caution around using them also, but I think that might be helpful.
