Dr. Amy Nett: I’ve seen some research on SBI for IBS-D, but I haven’t seen it for IBD. I haven’t really seen it for IBD patients, meaning Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis, only for IBS-D. It has been used empirically for IBD, but neither Chris nor I have really used it much, so neither of us have much experience with it, and it’s just not something we’ve really used for IBD patients, so unfortunately I have not a lot to add on that one.
