Chris Kresser: Not really. For some patients who are particularly sensitive, it might be an issue, but in general, very, very small amounts of certain fillers in supplements don’t concern me for most patients. The amount that you get from taking something the size of a capsule is pretty small. I know that some people get really concerned about those things, but I’m personally not that concerned about it. The exception would be if patients have known sensitivity. If someone has a history of reacting to certain substances that are used as fillers or as non-medicinal ingredients in supplements or medications, then that would obviously be different, but for the average patient, I’m not as concerned about that.
