Any recommendations for GOS, galactooligosaccharide, supplements besides Galactomune or Biogen for patients who have beta-glucan insensitivities?

Chris Kresser:  That’s a great question because Galactomune does have beta-glucagon and so does Biogen. And as you all know from Cyrex Array 10, some people do have beta-glucan sensitivity and I haven’t been able to find a pure GOS supplement yet.

So I haven’t admittedly looked that hard, it’s only come up one time when I had a patient with beta-glucan who we thought GOS might be a good fit for her. But in that case we just tried other probiotics and they worked well. So I think I just dropped the ball at that point. But if anyone does know a GOS supplement without beta-glucan, let us know in the Facebook group.
