Dr. Amy Nett: PectaClear is a supplement. So what am I not understanding? Yeah, so PectaClear is modified citrus pectin, so that’s the specific supplement that Chris was recommending. I’m afraid I’m just not understanding that question. So if I’m not, I’m sorry. Just please resubmit it so I can answer it correctly.
Yeah, modified citrus pectin or, you know, PectaClear, you would want to take probably at least 60 minutes away from other supplements or foods because again it’s a nonspecific binder. The idea behind taking activated charcoal or modified citrus pectin in the antimicrobial or antifungal protocol is if patients are having severe symptoms of die-off or detox-type reactions, you’re using the charcoal basically to sort of mop up some of those things that are going to be triggering the immune system. So similarly what you want the modified citrus pectin to be doing is mopping up anything that might be really triggering the immune system. So, yeah, you’d want to take it away from things that you actually want your body to absorb.
