Chris Kresser: Yes, that’s correct. Typically what we’ll say is, Do the labs right as soon as you get them, and then start the 30-day reset right after you do the labs. That’s ideal because then when you do the follow-up labs, you can actually gauge the effect that the 30-day reset has had, but it’s not absolutely necessary, and in practice, what tends to happen is the labs arrive at different times, and for a patient, often it’s kind of overwhelming when they get all the labs all at once and it takes them a while to do certain labs. Let’s say a patient is constipated and only has a bowel movement every two or three days and that’s part of what they want help with and then they have to do the Doctor’s Data stool test, which requires three stool samples, it could actually take them a while to do that test. So usually we don’t tell people to delay starting the diet because we want them to start feeling better right away, and you’re going to see the changes over time anyway, so it’s really not that important, the timing there.

- To confirm, a patient does the 30-Day Paleo Reset between the half-hour initial phone/video consult and the case review, and they can be doing this while they’re doing the lab tests, correct?
